As summer turns to fall, we have a lot to be proud of as members/owners of Community Financial Credit Union. We recently wrapped up our fourth annual Summer of Sharing program, where we donated $1,000 a day for 60 days to local community organizations. The winners were nominated by our members and our community for the great work they do to strengthen our neighborhoods.

Keep Your Credit Card Information Safe

Credit card security continues to be a pressing issue in today’s society. At Community Financial, the security of your financial information is held as a top priority. Manager of Deposit Payment Services, Chris Curry says that Community Financial makes great strides to inform members during large and small card breaches. The credit union sends emails, reissues cards quickly and avoids solutions that could cause card holders any inconvenience during a breach.

Student-Run Credit Union Program Expands

For the 2014-2015 academic year, Community Financial will operate 41 student-run credit unions including new school partners: Achieve Charter Academy in Canton and St. Mary Cathedral School in Gaylord. As the program continues to grow, a new position has been added this year that will focus on enhancing the program in our Northern communities.
