For every Facebook Like, Tweet or Instagram picture Community Financial received, $25 was given to The Heat and Warmth Fund, local food pantries, Habitat for Humanity and The Salvation Army Coats for Kids Program. After the December month of giving was complete, we were able to donate $40,000 to these nonprofit organizations.
If you ask around the Community Financial branches, most team members will agree that Warming Hearts & Homes is their favorite annual giving campaign.
“It’s one of the most special campaigns our credit union is honored to fulfill because the cause really hits home. No one should have to go without heat or food during a Michigan winter,” marketing manager Sarah Cousineau said.
Each year, members of our credit union and our communities prove that together, we can make a difference for those who need it most during the holiday season.
